’23 People’ ends shooting, reveals photo

Shooting for Iranian movie ’23 People’ has ended.

Iranian movie '23 People' directed by Mehdi Jafari has completed the shooting phase, releasing its first photo.

Filmed in the cities of Tehran and Abadan, the flick which took three months to shoot will be screened at the 37th annual Fajr Film Festival.

Based on a memoir by the same name, ’23 People’ is a war drama which depicts the true story of a group of Iranian teenage prisoners of war who fell captive to enemy soldiers in the early 1980s during the war between Iran and Iraq’s Ba’athist regime.

The film crew is made up of Mehdi Jafari as writer and director, Mojtaba Faravardeh as producer, and Morteza Qeidi as Cinematographer among others.

The Fajr International Film Festival is an annual event held on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, celebrating Iranian cinema. This year’s festival will be held from January 30-February 11, 2019 commemorating the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
